Thanks to funding from Welsh Government, Food Vale has been able to employ a new member of the team for a 12-month period to carry out crucial work on food insecurity in the Vale of Glamorgan.

On 23rd August Vale over 20 foodies gathered in Rhoose Community Centre to connect with one another and discuss ideas for the local food system.

Food Vale joined 90+ local food leaders and MPs in Parliament to call on better Government investment in healthy and sustainable food.
‘Investing in a better food future’ event on 14 June showcased the innovative role of food partnerships in improving local economy and community health.

The Vale of Glamorgan Council will soon offer free school meals to all primary pupils, once again delivering above and beyond Welsh Government targets.

A new event will shine a light on the evolving local food scene in the Vale of Glamorgan – with a particular focus on showcasing sustainable food and drink.

Cardiff and Vale UHB’s Local Public Health and Dietetics Teams have been working in partnership to highlight the Food Related Benefits that exist to support families on a low income to access healthier food.

The Catering and Hospitality Academy is designed to give you the well-rounded skills required to start your career in hospitality. This course is aimed at individuals who would like to explore front-of-house and back-of-house career pathways; and who want to find work in this fast paced and diverse industry.
