The Food Vale Partnership has been successful in their application for funding from the Shared Prosperity Fund to carry out three distinct projects in the next financial year.

Through funding from Welsh Government, the Vale Local Nature Partnership are developing a community orchard project in urban and peri-urban areas of Cowbridge, Penarth, Llantwit Major and Barry.

Thanks to funding from Welsh Government, Food Vale has been able to employ a new member of the team for a 12-month period to carry out crucial work on food insecurity in the Vale of Glamorgan.

On 23rd August Vale over 20 foodies gathered in Rhoose Community Centre to connect with one another and discuss ideas for the local food system.
