Penarth Growing Community was established in 2020 by Gwyrddio Penarth Greening (GPG) to encourage and establish community growing in Penarth. It was born from a GPG event held in January 2020 when residents were asked what local environmental action we could take to address the climate emergency.  There was a lot of interest in the idea of growing local food so Penarth Growing Community has been encouraging growing opportunities across Penarth since March 2020.
