New Project launches to examine local demand for shared kitchen facilities in the Vale

Do you have an interest in food or cooking?

Could your organisation/club/society/collection of friends make use of a local community kitchen?

Would your business benefit from a professional test-kitchen in the Vale of Glamorgan?

Food Vale is the sustainable food partnership for the Vale of Glamorgan. With support from the UK Government’s Shared Prosperity Fund, we have commissioned locally based PER Consulting and Lafan to examine the potential demand for a shared kitchen facility within the Vale communities of Barry, Penarth and Llantwit Major.

The consultants are keen to hear from you if you are setting up a new food business or, if already established, could you have benefitted from the availability of a commercial kitchen to hire when you started.  Would you make use of such a facility to test new ideas or launch new products?

Are you producing food locally? Could you supply local community organisations to create locally cooked meals for those most in need?

Are you striving to help your local community learn more about healthy eating or looking to improve cookery skills for all ages in the local area?  You may already be delivering such support but could you do even more with a dedicated community kitchen facility?

Please contact us if you want to get involved by emailing keith@perconsulting.co.uk

We will shortly launch a short on-line survey to capture your views and insight to the opportunities across the Vale of Glamorgan and will share details through community groups and the Food Vale web site which can be accessed here.
