Call For Applicants: New Community Food Mapping Project for the Vale

Food Vale is seeking applicants for a new community food mapping project for the Vale of Glamorgan.

The Vale was once known as “The Garden of Wales” for its favourable growing conditions. However, in the Vale – like elsewhere in the country – we know anecdotally that we are lacking opportunities for communities to get involved with growing their own food, and waiting lists for allotments remain long.

This project is the first step in a wider effort to understand the local needs associated with community food growing in the Vale.

We are looking for applications from people with an interest in community food growing to deliver on this project.

To find out more and for details on how to apply, please download the project brief here.

Deadline for applications is 28th November 2024.

This project is funded by the Shared Prosperity Fund, part of the UK Government Levelling Up Agenda.
